Academic project. The project goal was to design a typographic logo and a series of artifacts ranging in size and purpose for a weeklong Film Festival hosted at the Tower Theatre. We were to research and curate our Film Festival. We had the freedom to select the films, genre, directors, etc. This required developing a cohesive system for scaling at different sizes and for media.

Ghibli Fest pays homage to the iconic Japanese animation studio known for its storytelling, breathtaking animation, and timeless themes. Inspired by Japanese minimalist design. The use of imagery and color was a huge inspiration to this project, as well as how logomarks were treated and the use of lowercase.
